Hello fellow future attorneys,
My name is Bianca, and I am currently studying as an undergraduate student, working at a law firm as an assistant, and aspiring to be an attorney one day. Mere months ago, I had absolutely no experience in anything law-related. I had never done an internship, done any extensive research on law-related topics, or spoken with any professionals regarding the field. I then was hired as a legal assistant at a law firm, where I learned all about the "behind the scenes" activities necessary to run a law firm. One of those resources integral to the law firm I work at is Clio. Today I want to share with you an event hosted by Clio that allows us to become more educated on the resources available to us as people interested in the law world. As many of us know, society is shifting into a more technologically oriented realm. E-filings have replaced the traditional filing, and many firms are using technology as a replacement for older and more outdated means. Clio is a software designed for law firms that allows for all the information in a firm to be accessed through the program. Client information and case information may be stored in this software for everyone in a firm to access and work with. While Clio is extremely convenient in this sense, it has even more to offer. Clio holds a "cloud conference", where professionals gather in order to discuss relevant topics. This year, the Clio Cloud Conference is being held in New Orleans on September 25th and 26th. Here, the most educated technology and law experts will gather to discuss their success and give helpful tips. If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, visit the Clio website. I think we all have things we could learn from this beneficial conference!
